On Thursday 18th December 2014 at Cippenham Community Centre, the Slough Conservative Association selected on the first ballot Gurcharan Singh as their Parliamentary Candidate to contest the 2015 General election.
Gurcharan Singh has a background working at a senior level in the Social Housing sector with L & Q Housing Trust and the charity Centrepoint. He has advised our Prime Minister David Cameron on community cohesion.
Four Conservative hopefuls fought it out for the position of PPC for Slough:

Each candidate had two 10-minute sessions, where they faced set questions from the SCA officers, followed by a range of questions from the gathered membership.
Following some impressive answers and a tightly fought contest, Mr Gurcharan Singh immerged victorious. The selection process was overseen by a team from Conservative Central office.
Mr Singh is passionate about building a fairer, compassionate and a progressive society.
In 2010, he contested Ealing Southall- a rock solid Labour seat. He was able to achieve one of the largest swings for the Conservatives in the country and achieved second place from third.
