Councillor Dhruv Tomar
I am a dedicated councillor for Slough Central Ward, elected in May 2023. Since taking office, I worked tirelessly to enhance the community by organizing street cleaning initiatives and raising awareness about gambling harm. His efforts reflect a commitment to improving the lives of residents and addressing key local issues.
Outside of his council work, Dhruv is passionate about cricket. He holds an English Cricket Board (ECB) Level 1 Coaching qualification and actively coaches youth teams at his local cricket club. In addition to coaching, he serves as the club’s Sunday team captain. Through these roles, Dhruv fosters teamwork and sportsmanship, ensuring young players develop both on and off the field.
Dhruv has also played a significant role in charity and fundraising efforts within the cricket club. His networking skills have been instrumental in recruiting sponsors and organizing events that benefit the local community. He ensures youth teams participate in leagues and that matches are well-managed, including scoring and umpiring.
Fluent in English, Hindi, Punjabi, and Gujarati, Dhruv’s strong communication skills enable him to connect with a diverse range of people, further enhancing his impact as both a councillor and community leader.
