Despite all the bluster from Labour back in September that we would have big news by the end of last year regarding the regeneration of our High Street, we are still waiting.
If anyone has seen the state of the road barriers on Wellington Street, the main Gateway to Slough, they will know that the damage to them has been left in this state for months and is testament to the way our highways and other services have been provided by our Labour-led council.
As Conservatives, we are passionate about protecting and securing our environment.
I am proud of the record this Government has in leading the world in doing this.
Slough as we all know is surrounded by wonderful countryside place, such as Eton, Windsor and Datchet, with great links to key motorways, rail links and Heathrow.
It is also one of the most diverse and youngest towns in UK and is home to one of Europe’s largest trading estates.
Everyone knows in this town that our High Street is in a shameful, sorry state.
After ten years in control of the council, Labour have failed to deliver any kind of meaningful regeneration of our town centre and now blame the internet for it.

I read with great interest Slough Labour’s manifesto for the local elections which they launched last week.
It feels to me like they have missed the point, and are trying to behave like a socialist junta – wasting money that isn’t really there, and at some point our kids will have to pay for.
