I am Subhash Mohindra designated councillor for Upton ward Langley and live with my
partner Vir Mohindra professional Accountant and head of finance and I have two grown up
boys who are also qualified accountants working in Senior positions in Multi-National
Companies.
Moved to Slough Langley in 1998 because of my children education as they could have a
good education in grammar school.
I have several years’ experience in financial sector of companies like British Airport
Authority, Dresser Euro (American Oil company) Daimler Chrysler (Mercedes Benz)
Volkswagen Fleet Management act and also worked in NHS
I became a Councillor in 2023 because I wanted to give something back to the community
that had been so welcoming and given me a home. I love living in Slough, and I’m proud to
work towards making it an ever-better place to live and an ever-stronger community. I love
serving our diverse, exciting community and fighting for our vision of the Town Centre: an
ever fairer, greener, and better place where everyone can live their whole lives happily with
good homes, good jobs, and good services meeting their needs—old or young, families with
children.
I am a firm believer that every resident of Slough has a right to have their voice heard, to feel
that they belong and are welcomed here and that their aspirations and beliefs are respected.
i believes that there is a need to invest in and improve the vitality of our Town Centre, our
fantastic community groups across the town, and the basic infrastructure that we use every
day such as highways, footpaths and services. I promise to always use his position as a
Councillor to fight for these basic improvements at every opportunity to allow our town to
grow and thrive sustainably and safely.
Outside of politics and being a Councillor, I have many interests to properly devote enough
time like reading books /listening music and singing /Playing Guitar, helping charities in
raising funds / Playing Chess /Squash /Cricket /Football.
I am a dedicated councillor for Slough Central Ward, elected in May 2023. Since taking office, I worked tirelessly to enhance the community by organizing street cleaning initiatives and raising awareness about gambling harm. His efforts reflect a commitment to improving the lives of residents and addressing key local issues.
Outside of his council work, Dhruv is passionate about cricket. He holds an English Cricket Board (ECB) Level 1 Coaching qualification and actively coaches youth teams at his local cricket club. In addition to coaching, he serves as the club’s Sunday team captain. Through these roles, Dhruv fosters teamwork and sportsmanship, ensuring young players develop both on and off the field.
Dhruv has also played a significant role in charity and fundraising efforts within the cricket club. His networking skills have been instrumental in recruiting sponsors and organizing events that benefit the local community. He ensures youth teams participate in leagues and that matches are well-managed, including scoring and umpiring.
Fluent in English, Hindi, Punjabi, and Gujarati, Dhruv’s strong communication skills enable him to connect with a diverse range of people, further enhancing his impact as both a councillor and community leader.
